eBay RSS Feeds on WP
PotPieGirl on June 27th, 2008
Many folks have looked at one of my example Wordpress niche websites and wondered how I got the eBay affiliate RSS feeds on the pages of that blog. There are a lot of tools and plug ins that you can buy that will do this, but I use a free online tool that converts my RSS feed from eBay into a little piece of code I put in the HTML area of a WordPress blog page or post.
Works great for me. While it may look confusing when you first look at the tool, it really is quite simple.
About eBay Affiliate RSS Feeds
I am making a pretty big assumption here that most of you know how to make a RSS feed from eBay that includes you ePN (eBay Partner Network) affiliate link. If you don’t know how to do this, please speak up and I will do a post or make a pdf with pretty pictures that will walk you through it.
RSS Feed to Code Conversion Tool
I am really pleased with this simple, free tool. You can see it in action on one of my newest WordPress niche sites that I am testing an idea on (feedback will come when my over-all test results are concluded). The site is on Diabetic Supplies and the link goes to a page that has diabetic testing strips eBay auctions.
All I did was go to eBay and generate my affiliate RSS feed, then I copied the feed address and went to this tool:
and filled in the blanks.
Then, I took that code and put in in the HTML area when creating that WordPress page.
Easy! The auctions automatically update so you don’t have to fool with it ever again.

Just read over your 6 Step Niche Sites Series and want to congratulate you on a very nice contribution folks can easily follow along with and do some good.
Also, another easy to configure method for earning with the eBay affiliate program is the ‘Wordbay’ Plug-in. It’s a 5 minute install and setup, and is very effective.

Hi Jennifer. When I read your postings I am amazed to how difficult it is for someone like me to do this without prior training. BUT, you do a great job with your tutoring.Thank you.
Could you please make a report about the eBay RSS feeds. I am sure that other people will also benefit from it.
Many, many thanks

I just added an ebay feed to my Wordpress website. It changed my front page from the body mass calculator to the ebay feed on the front as I put it in the fitness and weight loss post. At least it works, but I kind of wanted to keep my BMI calculator on the front page.
